These stories have a place of their own — you are in it right now. It is called Inside and stands in the bar above. Its name was open for a long time; we did not write one down that we had just made up — it was settled before this place opened.
Being creative fails at three points. Where are you stuck right now?
Pick your point — and see what already stands here for it. No account, no sign-up.
Six rooms — what there is to see
This house has six creative rooms. For each room, this shows whether there is anything to see out here yet — and where there is nothing, why. Nothing is made up.
Finish the sentence — as a pair
Everyone gets the same opening this week: “Today I almost …” You write your line — and your guest, through the two-places link, gets the same sentence. Two halves, one opening — that is what it feels like where this is going: making it together.
What keeping it gives you
Signing up here means: keeping your first step. It waits in your app on day one — and because you tell us in the short onboarding where your creativity lives, it does not begin at zero. From day one your profile carries a dated fact: with us since before the launch.
Your place counts for two. At the end you get a link for exactly one person — your invitation counts once they have secured their own first step. No score, no leaderboard.
What already stands
The line runs from left to right through what has been finished. It ends at today — it does not continue to the right, because only promises would stand there. Tapping a point opens its story, if there is one.
See for yourself
This gallery grows like the chronicle: backwards. What appears here is built and verified — never what is coming.
Was du in BEJUSTME ablegst, gehört dir: deine Aufnahmen, deine Zeilen, deine Fehlversuche.
You ask — we answer
Some questions deserve a public answer. It appears here without names — and it is honest, even when it is a no.
How a story gets here
?
That is decided: a decision. Not a whole area — that would become a brochure. Not a single step — that would become a change log. A decision has a before, a why and an after, and every story here carries exactly these three parts: a person's problem, our decision including the possibility we discarded, and what came of it.
The discarded possibility is a duty, not an ornament. Without it, it is not a story but an announcement.
This used to say: 'Open — what is the unit of a story? Shown here: the decision. Not the area (too big, becomes a brochure), not the section (too small, becomes a change log). A decision has a before, a why and an after — that makes a story. Leaning: the decision. Your call.'
- A line turns greenThe proof column fills up — someone has checked with their own eyes that the part really does what it should. Before that, nothing happens here.
- Free to tellThe line appears in the writing view. No one has to ask whether it may be written about — that is settled at the line itself.
- It gets writtenThree parts: the problem of one person, our decision including the option we discarded, and what came of it. The subject is always the person, never us.
- The other reads it againstFour eyes — whoever did not write reads it against. One thing above all is checked: does anything here talk about the future?
- It stands in publicThe story stands on the public page, with the date since which the part is finished. No hint of what comes next.
What is not here — and why
- Finished parts — with the problem they came from
- Decisions, including the option we discarded
- The date since which the part stands
- A roadmap. Deadlines nobody promised bind us to the wrong audience
- Half-finished work that sounds good. Reporting success without effect is exactly the mistake we unlearned
- Numbers without provenance — not even our own
- A pinboard or a vote. What you write to us is mail to us — it is not put on display, and it does not get a say. The one exception: what you explicitly release can appear, curated — like the letters, never automatically
And you — where are you stuck right now?
You read this far. Then you now know what stands here and what deliberately does not.
